I’m not a boxing fan, but I wanted to watch a social media brat influencer get wrecked by a former GOAT of the sport just like anyone else. I had social commitments on the day and only watched a recording of the fight a couple of days ago. And, I’m at a loss of words on what happened.

I know that Paul isn’t a total amateur now. He’s put in the hours and the sweat to earn this fight (and definitely more in the future). Part of me also admires how he’s changed his lifestyle around with boxing, which is getting introduced to a whole new generation of fans thanks to his personal involvement.

I’d never seen Tyson box when he was in his prime. I’ve seen recordings, but I was hoping to live through another one of his matches where he goes full-on beast mode to dominate his opponent. But what I saw instead was a shell of the former pro.

And so, the real winner, as always, is time. The passage of time moves mountains, and men built like mountains.
